Danna Shapiro L.C.S.W. earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from New
York University and a Certificate in Family Therapy from the New Jersey Center for Families
Studies. Ms. Shapiro served as a clinician on the Adolescent Inpatient and Outpatient Units
at The Carrier Foundation and at the Girl Street and Adolescent Eating Disorder Programs at
Overlook Hospital. Her approach to therapy is Solution-Oriented and cognitive-behavioral
aimed at strengthening client’s coping skills and quality of life. Her areas of expertise
are mood disorders, anxiety, stress, and family issues as well as eating disorders for
children, adolescents and adults.
