Sharieve Meller R.N., A.P.N.

Sharieve Meller R.N., A.P.N. has a Masters Degree from Columbia University in
mental health and community nursing. She is an advanced practice nurse with over twenty
years experience with children, adolescents and families. Her background includes nursing
management and clinical treatment of child and adolescent psychiatric units at New York
Presbyterian Hospital and Schneider Children’s Hospital at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
She served as an Advanced Practice Nurse at United Hospital Medical Center and The Children’s
Hospital of New Jersey, providing outpatient therapy and support services to patients with
PKU. She has been a psychiatric consultation liaison nurse in hospital settings. She has
teaching and research experience at the graduate level.
As a parent of two teenage sons, Ms. Meller’s approach to parenting skills, school and home
visits was developed to address the specific needs of children from preschool age through
young adulthood. She treats the spectrum of mood, anxiety, learning and behavioral disorders.
Ms. Meller’s services include individual and family therapy, as well as psychiatric evaluation
and medication management. Her treatment approach is cognitive behavioral and family systems.
